Just Carl

Carl [kahrl] -noun
1. A strong, robust fellow, especially a strong manual laborer. 2. A miser; an extremely thrifty person. 3. A 24 year old Irish guy with too much to say and not enough people to listen.

From now on, when a twenty-something with no kids talks about not being able to live off their minimum wage, I’m sending them this.
Nobody has a “right” to tweet about their troubles from their iPhone.
Nobody has a “right” to that fancy laptop you’re using to read articles about how great “the 99%” are.
Nobody has a “right” to go to the most expensive colleges then complain about owing money you knew long in advance would have to be paid.
Again… I am a liberal, conservative-bashing, pro-health care, pro cheap-to-free education, fine with living benefits, anti-greedy-Wall-Street-Bastards kind of guy. That should apparently put me in with these “99%” people… but it doesn’t.
They’re morons who know nothing about the issues they raise.
Yes, the rich should be taxed more, yes, the people responsible for the economic troubles should be held responsible and aptly punished, and yes, the sick/poor/needy should be looked after by the government (which needs to me a strong, big government)… but “occupying” Wall Street like these guys are doing is useless. They’re just making the rest of us liberal types look like idiot dirty hippies who piss and shit on the streets because we think we’re making a point.
These people represent themselves, and themselves only. A few thousand people do not make 99%.
