Ireland’s first sex festival to be held next month
IRELAND’S FIRST sex festival to explore and discuss issues about sexual freedom and health is to be held in Dublin city at the end of next month.
The event organisers say the one-day festival will host presentations on relationships, yoga, spiritual speed dating and BDSM (bondage, domination, sadism and masochism).
The Bliss Festival programme also promises a range of workshops, or ‘playshops’, on topics such as Tantra massage and “the metaphysics of sexual energy”.
Festival organiser and co-founder Beth Wallace says that although Irish society relationship with sex has changed significant in the last decades, “there is still a way to go in terms of full sexual freedom and access to full sexual health services”.
She says she believes Ireland is “ready for a festival about sex, that maturely looks at the subject holistically in terms of the mind, the body and the spirit”.
The event is being held on 25 February. Tickets cost €55 and can be purchased from the festival’s website. Bliss Festival is being sponsored by businesses including Free Hug Yoga and One Heart Tantra.
