Anonymous asked: Isn't Antrim in Northern Ireland?

It is. But as someone who despises both sides of the religious argument in Ireland, and abhors the politics of Ireland/Britain in that area, I intentionally ignore both, and strictly use science to guide me.

In this case, the science is geography, and geographically, the place is just called Ireland.

If it’s a passport issue, or I’m talking to someone who calls themselves “Northern Irish”, I’m fine with that and will use it accordingly, but generally speaking, especially when we’re just dealing with a piece of land, it’s just Ireland.
