As discussed previously, I’m starting to have a one-track mind that screams “this is healthy… that’s not good advice for losing weight… the world must bow to our fitblr knowledge and acknowledge that they need to sort themselves out…”, and so on.

I’m not liking this. I have seriously had nothing else on my mind for a while. Just fitblr stuff. So I’m taking some time off. Well, maybe a day.

I’ve decided to mark a few things off my “to do” list;

1) I’ve never in my entire life bought a comic book. I’m a tv and movie nerd and should be the exact type of person who does read comics… but I don’t.

SO… last week I had a check online and found something I immediately had to have:

I’m a huge Edgar Wright fan, so when I heard he was making these into a movie, I got caught in the hype and was really looking forward to seeing it. Then I realised I could get these… so I did. Like I said, I’m no comic-buff and had no idea what I was buying when I ordered them. I was expecting A4 size skinny comic books (as was my ignorant impression of what comics are), but they’re actually in “proper” book form, which is awesome. Scott Pilgrim wasn’t on my radar until about 2 months ago. Never heard of him at all. Now it’s a mini-obsession. And that’s before I read or see anything. Crazy.

2) I’ve started drawing and making things. I’m unbelievably untalented when it comes to art, but I enjoy mucking about with things. So MAYBE some photos will follow I I like anything I create.

3) Finally, after years of saying I would… I’ve got the complete collection of “Black Adder”.

For those of you (especially in Canada/America) who haven’t heard of it, you really must have a looksy. If not for its genius, but for a certain Hugh Laurie of “House” fame, where you can see him as he mostly is… a hilarious brit with the best “wot wot” fopping english accent you’re ever going to hear. If you’ve never heard him outside of House before, you’re gonna be quite surprised. But the show isn’t about him… there are a handful of excellent characters and it has its own unique themes. WATCH IT.

So there we have it. The Scot Pilgrim’s arrived this morning and I just bought Black Adder. Let the nerdgasms commence.

I was always one of those “stop calling it art, it’s soft-porn” people, when it came to paintings and photography of naked or semi-naked women, and that sort of thing. Especially with photography. 

I used to think the men were just being creepy, and the women were just looking for attention.

But I think I’m coming around. “Artistically Maturing”, if you will. “No longer being a judgemental arse”, if you won’t.

My stance of “all dudes who take these photos are simply enjoying the naked women” has moved on to “OK, maybe only most dudes who take these photos are simply enjoying the naked women”.

It’s a start!

I like art, me.

I’ve no plans for this evening, and want to play around with paint.net again.
